BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — February 24, 2026 — A 25-year-old Bullhead City man has been arrested on child abuse and aggravated assault charges, both domestic-violence related, after police say he was caught on video assaulting his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter.

The Bullhead City Police Department identified the suspect as Ora Ray Carson II. On Monday, February 23, the child’s mother reported she had discovered Carson had been physically abusing her daughter and provided cellphone footage documenting the abuse.

According to investigators, the video shows Carson striking the toddler multiple times in the head. Responding officers also observed bruises and other injuries on the child consistent with physical abuse.

The mother told police she and Carson had been in a relationship for about two months and that her daughter frequently had bruises, scratches, and other injuries after being around him. Due to her suspicions, she placed her cellphone camera in the room before leaving Monday morning. After reviewing the footage, she contacted authorities.

Officers went to Carson’s residence in the 1800 block of Monterey Circle, where he was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

The child was initially evaluated at a local hospital before being transported to Sunrise Hospital for precautionary care and further medical evaluation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
