BULLHEAD CITY, AZ — One of the Tri-State’s most anticipated Independence Day traditions is back! Rockets Over the River returns this Fourth of July, bringing thousands of spectators to the banks of the Colorado River for an evening of patriotism, community, and one of the region’s largest fireworks displays.

Residents and visitors from Bullhead City, Laughlin, Fort Mohave, Needles, and beyond are invited to enjoy a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the night sky over the Colorado River. Whether you’re watching from a riverfront park, a local resort, a casino, or your boat on the water, Rockets Over the River offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable holiday experience.

The celebration is expected to draw large crowds, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early, expect heavier traffic, and follow all directions from law enforcement and event staff.

The Bullhead City Fire Department is also reminding everyone that only permissible consumer fireworks are allowed within Bullhead City limits. Fireworks that explode or launch into the air—including bottle rockets, Roman candles, aerial shells, and similar devices—are prohibited. The safest way to celebrate is by enjoying the professional fireworks display.

As you celebrate, remember to stay hydrated, protect yourself from the summer heat, clean up after yourself, and help keep the Colorado River and surrounding parks beautiful for everyone.

From all of us at Bullhead Laughlin News, we wish you and your family a safe, fun, and happy Fourth of July. We hope to see you at Rockets Over the River as our community comes together to celebrate America’s birthday.
