The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, June 15, at approximately 9:25 a.m., Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Blue Willow Lane in the unincorporated area of Mohave County, east of Kingman, regarding a domestic violence incident.
During the investigation, a 48-year-old woman reportedly produced a firearm, resulting in an officer-involved shooting involving two deputies. Deputies immediately rendered lifesaving aid until paramedics arrived; however, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In accordance with standard protocol following an officer-involved shooting, the deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The investigation is being conducted by the Bullhead City Police Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations. Any future updates or information regarding this incident will be released by the Bullhead City Police Department.
