Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are currently investigating an aggravated assault/ domestic

violence incident that occurred on Monday (1/27) evening. At approximately 11:49 PM, Deputies were called

to a residence in the 3700 block of Amado Rd. in Golden Valley, after a reporting party called in stating his

27-year-old son was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The suspect, identified as Gabriel Crucifixio

Gonzalez, had been drinking heavily throughout the evening and when told to go sleep it off, started a

physical altercation with his mother. While en route to the scene, deputies were further advised that

Gonzalez had come towards the father in an aggressive manner and the father fired a weapon, striking

Gonzalez in the neck.

Upon arrival, the suspect was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and further transported to a

Las Vegas hospital for treatment where he is in critical condition. A video of the incident showed the physical

confrontation between Gonzalez and the female victim, and Gonzalez then moving towards the male before

the shot was fired. All involved parties were interviewed and a records check revealed Gonzalez was

recently released from prison and was on parole at the time of the incident. No arrests have been made and

this investigation is ongoing.
