BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – January 16, 2026 – The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating after a deceased woman was discovered inside a residence that appears to have been burglarized.

Officers responded on Friday, January 16, at approximately 3 p.m. to a home in the 1600 block of Turquoise Road following a report from a neighbor. The neighbor stated that an unknown male had told him while passing by that there was a deceased woman inside the home and that her vehicle had been stolen. Upon entering the unlocked residence, the neighbor discovered the woman deceased on a couch.

Police reported that the body was in a mummified state, suggesting the woman had been deceased for several months. According to the Mohave County Medical Examiner, there are no immediate signs of foul play. Preliminary evidence indicates the home may have been ransacked after her death, and investigators believe her vehicle was also stolen.

The body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. Officials say the death appears to be from natural causes. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

This remains an active investigation, and no further details are being released at this time.
