UPDATE 03/04/2025: DEATH INVESTIGATION- LAKE HAVASU
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has received the official autopsy report from the Maricopa County
Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday (3/3) involving the death of a four-month-old child. This report is
related to a death investigation that occurred on Lake Havasu on July 5, 2024. This case has been
forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for review of potential negligent homicide charges.
ORIGINAL 07/08/2024: DEATH INVESTIGATION- LAKE HAVASU
On Friday (7/5) at approximately 5:10 PM, a four-month-old child was transported from a boat on Lake
Havasu to Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center for heat related illness. The child was later transported to
Phoenix Children’s Hospital but succumbed to their injuries. Detectives responded and an investigation is
ongoing.
