INGLEWOOD, CA — The Monday Night Football game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings will be played in Arizona amid the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles.

The Rams were scheduled to host the Wild Card playoff game at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Jan. 13.

The game will now move to State Farm Stadium in Glendale as part of the contingency plan set in place earlier this week.

In a statement from the NFL, the move is, “In the interest of public safety. The decision was made in consultation with public officials, the participating clubs and the NFLPA.”

Earlier, NFL officials said they would “closely monitor developments in the area and will remain in contact with public officials, both clubs and the NFLPA.”

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (11 a.m. Arizona time) Friday through Seatgeek.com for Rams Season Ticket Members and Noon Pacific Time (1 p.m. Arizona time) to the general public. Further details haven’t been provided.
