CHILD ABUSE- MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Jamie Michelle Cox, 37 of Mohave Valley, for felony Child Abuse per Domestic Violence. On Thursday (1/18) at approximately 3PM, Deputies responded to the area of E. Camp Mohave and S. Calle Del Media for a report of a five-year-old child walking along the roadway.

The reporting party advised that the young juvenile was naked and running through the busy intersection. The reporting party was able to retrieve the child from the roadway and put the child in her vehicle until Deputies arrived.
Fort Mojave Mesa Fire District responded to the scene and transported the child to Valley View Medical Center, with Department of Child Safety also responding.

This is the second reported incident that has occurred, with deputies responding to the same location on Saturday (1/13) when the child had wandered away from the residence without a guardian.

Jamie Cox was arrested for the above charges and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident.
