Bullhead City, AZ — Two Bullhead City residents were arrested early Saturday morning after a routine traffic stop escalated into a major drug and counterfeit money investigation, according to Bullhead City Police.
At approximately 1 a.m. on December 27, officers contacted occupants of a vehicle near Highway 95 and First Street. An officer recognized the driver, Taylor Marie Butler, 31, and was aware from prior encounters that her driver’s license was suspended.
During the traffic stop, officers discovered several counterfeit bills in Butler’s possession. As the investigation continued, police located baggies containing methamphetamine along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Authorities reported seizing more than 27 grams of methamphetamine, an amount consistent with drug sales rather than personal use.
Both Butler and Scott Jack Jones, 44, were taken into custody. They were each charged with:

In addition, Butler faces charges of forgery and driving on a suspended license.
The pair were booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman, where they remain pending further court proceedings.
