Waste Collection Event on Sunday, May
BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., May 2, 2025 – The City of Bullhead City, in partnership with Mohave
County Environmental Quality, the Bullhead City Fire Department, Nevada State Recycling, and
Republic Services, is pleased to announce a coordinated Clean-Up and Waste Collection Day for
Bullhead City residents on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event will provide residents with an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household
hazardous waste, electronic waste, appliances, bulk items, and tires at no cost. Two designated drop-
off locations will be available that morning, each responsible for specific types of waste. Over the past
few weeks residents have been encouraged to prepare and sort materials to ensure a quick and
efficient drop-off process. As the event approaches, the City continues to urge residents to separate
their items now and review accepted materials for each site.
The Household Hazardous Waste Collection, sponsored by Mohave County Environmental Quality
and the Bullhead City Fire Department, will take place at the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division parking
lot, located at 1325 Alonas Way. This site will accept common household hazardous items such as
automotive fluids, paint products, pool chemicals, pesticides, household cleaners, outdated
medications, batteries, and any material labeled Caution, Warning, Danger, Poison, Flammable,
Combustible, or Corrosive. Additionally, residents may drop off up to four tires per household (off the
rim) at this location. Please note that residents are responsible for placing tires into designated
containers. Commercial and industrial waste, appliances, electronics, furniture, ammunition,
explosives, and radioactive materials will not be accepted. This drop-off is for residential use only.
Questions related to hazardous materials should be directed to Mohave County Environmental Quality
at 928-757-0903.
Simultaneously, a separate Electronic Waste, Bulk Items, and Tire Drop-Off Event will be held at the
Gary Keith Civic Park parking lot, located at 2298 Hoppas Drive, and is hosted by the City of
Bullhead City in partnership with Nevada State Recycling and Republic Services. This site will accept
a wide range of electronic items including televisions, computers, monitors, printers, phones, modems,
gaming equipment, audio systems, rechargeable batteries, medical devices, and all household
appliances. Hard drives will be securely removed and destroyed on-site. The Gary Keith Civic Park
location will also accept furniture and other bulk items, as well as tires (limit of four, off the rim).
Residents must unload their own items. Hazardous materials will not be accepted at this location.
The only item accepted at both locations is tires. All other materials must be brought to the appropriate
site based on the type of waste.“This coordinated clean-up event reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping Bullhead City clean
and safe. It’s a great opportunity for residents to safely and responsibly dispose of unwanted items
while helping to keep our community clean,
” said Bullhead City Manager Toby Cotter. “We are
proud to work together with our county and community partners to provide these vital services to our
residents, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of
waste materials.”
Residents are advised to review guidelines carefully and separate items in advance to help streamline
the process. Additional details are available on the City of Bullhead City’s official social media pages.
