We have noticed an increase in vehicle thefts and burglaries in the unincorporated area of Kingman in recent weeks. The majority of incidents handled by our agency are occurring in the Butler/ Birdland area. Kingman Police Department has also noted an uptick in these types of incidents within the city limits. We are reaching out to the community for assistance in gathering as much information as we can on these incidents. We are requesting that residents and business owners with security cameras be on the lookout for anything suspicious that may be related to these calls.
If you have any video or photos of suspects or suspect vehicles during the commission of any motor vehicle thefts or burglaries, they can be submitted to us via our Axon Citizen Evidence link at https://Mohave.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/autothefts or by scanning the QR code below.

We would like to remind the community of some tips to prevent vehicle theft:
 Make sure your vehicle is locked and all windows are secured
 NEVER leave your keys in the vehicle
 Park in a well-lit area, preferably off of the street
 Don’t leave valuables in the vehicle in plain sight
 Install motion lights and/or cameras facing your parking area if possible
 Be alert and report any suspicious activity to local authorities
If your vehicle is stolen, this is the information that will need to be provided to deputies to file a report:
 The year, make, model and color of the car
 License plate number
 Vehicle Identification Number (also called the “VIN”)
