The Kingman Police Department was involved in an officer involved shooting today, Monday, February 26, 2024 at approximately 11:10 a.m. in the 2500 block of Kingman Ave. The shooting occurred after the Kingman Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of robbery at a bank in the 2400 block of Hualapai Mountain Rd. where a male suspect brandished a firearm.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen by witnesses leaving the area in a gray truck. Officers located a suspect and the vehicle at a business in the 2500 block of Kingman Ave. During this time, it is alleged that the suspect brandished a firearm, at which time the officers fired at the suspect.

The suspect was shot several times. The suspect received emergency medical care and was transferred to the Kingman Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Investigators subsequently learned that a second subject was in the vehicle when it fled from the bank.

This second subject has not been located and is believed to be on foot in the Kingman area, last seen at about 11:10 a.m. There is no description available of this second subject, but the community is urged to use caution and report any unusual or suspicious behavior.
