At approximately 3:15 PM on Tuesday, April 29, Bullhead City Police and Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident in the 900 block of Hancock Road, just east of Lakeside Drive, in front of Family Dollar.

Upon arrival, responders found a motorcycle laid down in the roadway. The driver of the other involved vehicle had moved into the Family Dollar parking lot to clear the roadway.

A 48-year-old female motorcyclist sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC) by Bullhead City Fire medical crews.

A witness in traffic stated that road rage may have been a factor in the incident. The motorcyclist reportedly had a confrontation earlier on Hancock Road with a newer dark blue small SUV. As both vehicles continued westbound, the motorcyclist began to turn into a retail parking lot in the 1000 block of Hancock Road when the SUV continued to follow closely.

Authorities noted that it’s unclear whether an actual collision occurred. The SUV reportedly fled the scene.

The incident remains under investigation
