Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating an attempted homicide that occurred in Dolan
Springs on Wednesday (7/3). At approximately 12:05 PM, dispatch received a call from a female subject
stating she shot her husband at a residence in the 17000 block of Needle Dr. Deputies and Detectives
responded to the scene and located the victim, who had a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was flown
to a Las Vegas hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Deputies and Detectives located the suspect, identified as Amber Bender, 41 of Henderson NV, at a
separate location where she was arrested for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder per Domestic Violence and
booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman. The investigation is ongoing.
